Warm Up with AJWright with 60 Seconds of Savings

It’s getting colder here in Atlanta.  We have gone from record highs in the beginning of September to more seasonable weather recently and I’m not prepared.  I have tons of pants, but no long sleeve shirts and my youngest son and husband own nothing but shorts right now.  Luckily for us AJWright is holding a bunch of sales this month on denim, boots, lightweight jackets and hoodies.   To help our dollar stretch farther this season AJWright has a new video segment on Facebook called 60 Seconds of Savings where stylist and fashion blogger Kari gives tips on how to save. Save with Procter & Gamble Coupons Featuring Your Favorite Brands

I don’t know about you, but sending the kids back to school has left a SERIOUS hole in my pocket.  Although I wouldn’t consider myself one of the big-time “couponers” I appreciate a good coupon for brands I love such as Tide,  Dawn, PUR, and Bounty.  Luckily for me Procter & Gamble recognizes that our budgets are not endless and has set up a  fun, in-pack coupon program that provides savings on your favorite P&G brands right inside individual product packaging! The coupons typically range from $5 to $55 in savings.

Did you know that families with school-aged children are spending anywhere between $400 to $600 on back-to-school supplies per child, an increase when compared to 2009 data (Source: youthnoise.com and nrf.com). Check Out Our Video: The Freshman 15 at Sam’s Club

From the day your child is born you start to prepare him/her for their future.  For most of us that entails 18 years of blood, sweat, and tears all leading up to the day they leave for college.  When that day comes you hope that you made the right decisions and taught them the things they need to know to be on their own.  For our family being prepared isn’t only  lessons learned, but it is also having the things necessary for being on your own.

This summer we had the opportunity to work with Sam’s Club to find all of my son’s needs for college, otherwise known as The Freshman 15.  Our shopping trip was documented by Sam’s Club as we worked through our list of necessities.  The experience is something neither of us will ever forget and we hope you will watch the video of our shopping excursion.

The Freshman 15 are the 15 items that every college student needs when leaving the home.  You can find a checklist to help make your back to school shopping experience much easier on the Sam’s site.

When Ethan leaves next month I know he will be prepared.  He has everything from Clorox for washing clothes (which he already knows how to do) to a Keurig to help him stay awake.  I already warned him that his mini-fridge better not be stocked with beer, but I think I did a good job raising him and I’m not too worried.  I also bought him a Collegiate Membership to Sam’s so that he can go to his local club whenever he runs out of something.  The card features a $15 gift card with sign up and $10 referrals, but the best feature (in my opinion) is the great discount from textbook.com.
