The ErgoMotion Laser Mouse, made by Smartfish, is the answer for those suffering from Repetitive Stress Injury and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. The mouse is designed to take stress off your wrist and is built to position your hand in a more natural orientation. However, it may not feel natural at first. Although anyone who has ever used a mouse will be able to figure it out, I had to get used to the positioning. I tested the desktop sized mouse which made it a little more difficult getting used to because I use a small, laptop mouse most of the time. Have no fear – they do make a Mini version that is better suited for people like me. The learning curve was relatively short and I began getting more comfortable it within the week.

Note: I love the new USB plug-ins. My old mouse has the standard, bulky USB plug whereas this mouse comes with one of the small plugs (see above) that make it less likely to get in the way.
